Le Chemin de Ronde ou les mots sans titre

Texts and 14 original lithographs by Alain Le Yaouanc. Preface by Louis Aragon (Pour lire à la loupe, 1973). The book takes the form of an album in a full beige cloth slipcase. Folio, in loose sheets, printed in an edition of 135 on Arches wove paper, to which is added a suite of 14 lithographs, likewise in a full beige cloth slipcase (30 copies on pearlescent Japan paper; 30 copies on Arches wove paper). Letterpress: Fecquet-Baudier. Lithographic printing: Arts Litho, Paris. Published on behalf of the Société normande des Amis du Livre, Rouen, January 1977.

History

Le Chemin de Ronde is the title that Alain Le Yaouanc gave to one of the manuscripts he wrote in 1964. In 1970 he took up a reworked fragment of these writings and published it under the same title as the preface to the catalogue Derrière le Miroir (no. 189, December 1970), published for his second exhibition at the Galerie Maeght. It is this text that is used here.
